Redline Joins WiMAX Forum® PlugFest for Mobile WiMAX™ Products in Malaga, Spain

15th February, 2007

Redline Communications Inc., a leading provider of standards-based WiMAX and broadband wireless infrastructure products, today announced its participation in the WiMAX Forum’s second Mobile PlugFest. The company’s RedMAX products are among the WiMAX technologies that have been submitted for the PlugFest taking place at the AT4 wireless labs in Malaga, Spain from February 11 to 17, 2007.

Redline’s proven leadership in the development of 802.16-2004 fixed WiMAX solutions has helped major operators plan and deploy WiMAX networks globally. RedMAX’s proven technological advantages and carrier-class performance has propelled Redline to the forefront of the WiMAX industry. With more than seven years of developing products based on IEEE 802.16 standards and working with major carriers to install large-scale wireless broadband networks that enable advanced communications services, Redline is prepared to submit its 802.16e-2005 products for WiMAX Forum Certification when testing begins mid-year.

“With more than 100 installations around the world, RedMAX is among the most trusted and widely-deployed WiMAX Forum Certified systems available anywhere today,” said Kevin Suitor, Vice President, Marketing and Business Development, Redline Communications Inc. “Our ability to develop 802.16-2004 RedMAX solutions that meet the strict performance requirements for robust, secure connections required by carriers to support today’s advanced communications gives us great confidence that Redline will be among the first group to have a commercially available mobile WiMAX solution.”

Redline’s RedMAX products are being used by carriers today to deliver broadband services in demanding urban and rural geographic environments, and to a wide range of businesses and individual consumers. The company has assisted carriers around the world to execute strategies that enable them to generate revenue today from high-margin services such as streaming voice and video, online games, corporate VPNs and personal broadband services – and to evolve their network to introduce increasingly advanced services over time.

"With more than 30 companies participating in this latest mobile WiMAX Forum PlugFest, there is strong momentum and a clear commitment by the WiMAX ecosystem," said Ron Resnick, president and chairman of the WiMAX Forum. "By the contributions of Redline Communications and the other PlugFest participants, these WiMAX Forum interoperability events continue to show a significant leap ahead with maturity of mobile WIMAX products. Additionally, the experience gained at these PlugFests is critical to improve quality of interoperability testing and to maintain our accelerated path to WiMAX Forum Certification."
